Challenges in Global Health and the Path Forward
Despite the significant progress made by global health initiatives, several challenges remain. Limited access to healthcare in low-income countries, the rise of antibiotic resistance, and the growing burden of non-communicable diseases like cancer and heart disease are pressing issues. Additionally, global health systems are often strained by pandemics, as seen during the COVID-19 crisis. To address these challenges, there is a need for continued investment in health infrastructure, research, and collaboration across countries. Strengthening global health security, improving public health education, and ensuring equitable access to healthcare services are key to achieving long-term health improvements on a global scale.
